BOST---Doyle M. Bost, age 89, long time Jacksonville resident passed away July 23, 2010 in Orange Park. He was born March 10, 1921 in Gracemont, OK, the oldest of 6 children born to Ray M. Bost and Willie Evans Bost. Growing up during the depression, Doyle was forced to work at a young age. He joined the U.S. Navy and attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer very quickly. He would later retire following 20 years of distinguished and decorated service including WWII. Doyle then retired from the Federal Aviation Administration with 25 years service. He was a long time member of Cedar Hills Baptist Church and Yukon Baptist Church. He was predeceased in 1999 by his loving wife of 57 years, Lenora May Bost. Survivors include his daughter Marsha Diaz; his sons Thomas Doyle Bost (Sharon), and James William Bost (Phyllis); his grandchildren Chris, Kristen, Shannon, Lauren, Brian, and Jason; also 5 great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services for Doyle will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday July 28, 2010 in the Garden of Everlasting Life at Jacksonville Memory Gardens. Full military honors will be conferred. Family members will greet friends just prior to and following the service at the graveside on Wednesday morning.
