ALLEN—Evelyn S. Allen, "Miss Sam", 80 passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010 in Jacksonville, FL. Evelyn was a life long resident of Jacksonville and worked as a secretary at the Gateway Gun Club for 17 years. She was a member of Faith Memorial Baptist Church and American Legion, Post 137. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Jasper and Gladys Crews; son, John A. Black and 2 brothers. Survivors include her daughters, Judy Williams (Wayne) and Penny Ice (Dennis); brothers, William and Everett Crews; grandchildren, Johnnie, Justin, Nikki and Ricky; 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services in celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2010, 2:00 PM in the chapel of JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL with Pastor Billy Bray officiating. Family and friends will visit at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 from 5 until 7 PM.
